Chelsea Star, Mason Mount is reportedly leaning towards a move to Man Utd if he leaves Chelsea in the summer.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein – who will be a guest on Sky Sports News’ Back Pages Tonight show this evening – reports that talks between the two clubs are expected to take place “in due course”.
Other clubs interested in Mount – among those is understood to be Liverpool and Arsenal – are aware of the 24-year-old’s preference, adds Ornstein.
Any potential deal could be complicated by Man Utd’s search for a striker, which is the priority at Old Trafford this summer.
United’s business could also be delayed by the ongoing takeover process, with very little sign the Glazers are any closer to landing on a preferred bidder as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim await their decision.
